Giant Robots!!!

 OMG Giant robots! I have had a profound fascination with giant robots since I was a little kid, probably cause I was forced to watch Neon Genesis Evangelion when I was 8...Er, anyway. I have a few designs of my own that I hope to somehow incorporate into my comic. That may not ever happen, since not only do mecha tend to be much more difficult to repeatedly draw in action sequences than more organic creatures, they also pull attention away from the characters. If I due include any sort of mechanical augmentation, it would be far into the story.

"It's got chicken legs!"

 I have three major mecha designs for Fluffy Blast, and this is one of them. Under it's neck is a sort of artificial muscular plumage that (not shown) wraps around to the back, hopefully trailing into some sort of scarf. Cool robots have scarves!

 EVERY important robot can sprout wings and use a giant sword. It's just, like, common sense.

I consider my biggest design influences to be Evangelion, Xenogears, and Armored Core. Once challenge I have for designing things is to match them with the rest of the comic. Fluffy Blast, as it's name suggests, is full of cute creatures. The machinery should reflect at least a little bit. Compared to previous iterations of reoccurring designs, the bots I make now are more bulbous and stout. Once I return home I'll have access to all of my sketchbooks, so I'll be able to share more.
