Last topic in anatomy class was about the torso (my favorite part to draw), and human proportions (my biggest weakness). Hurray for balance! Anyway, I happened to go a little bit overboard with the work this time, especially the orthographic views of the torso. Then again, we were supposed to make orthographic drawings of the torso, human proportions, and more"finished" drawings of both, so I guess there was a lot of work to begin with...The proportion assignment was especially interesting, since we to not draw all the changes in proportion for different stages in life, but rather blend them together to form horrible abominations.
While this is a little too, uh, "classical" for my tastes, I did generate it without a live model.
Age proportion experiment one.
Age proportion experiment two. I though the body type seemed rather bearish, so I decided to make it into a bear man!
True story: Bears and siberian tigers are bitter enemies. I thought I would honor this.
Next up: Even more bodies.
