Beef

The semester is dwindling down, so I'm starting to wrap up all of my academic projects and shift focus to my side projects. Seriously, Soren's designs are fuckin' brilliant. Economical, articulate, infinitely variable. I MUST BECOME AS GREAT AS HE. (Also, shame on me for completely missing them at PAX East)

Anyway, the art update for today is a small one. The lovely pile of meat below was a still life I set up for a 3' x 4' painting.

 This was after the first painting session, where I worked directly from the still life. Because I couldn't keep a pile of raw meat hanging out in the studio for days on end, I had to finish the rest from my photograph.

I'm thrilled with how it turned out. I should stop painting all other things from now on and focus exclusively on meat. Yum.
