Here's my most recent batch of anatomy work. The current topic is hands and feet and my particular study method is to start with the skeleton and work out. In terms of orthographic views, we're only required to hand in the skin layer...but I went a little bit overboard and started drawing a separate layer for skeletal, muscular, and skin views. I guess that's better in the long run? Here's what I have so far:
I drew the first page from life (from what I hope wasn't a real foot), while the other three are studies from our anatomy textbook. It's really hard to draw from life when the professor takes all of his skeleton models with him when class is over...and we spend most of class time with the living models...While both book and model are useful, copying from the book feels like, well, copying from the book. I'd much rather draw from life any day. Either way, more to come within the week!
